Today, on 4th June, 2021 the family of Segerea Senior Seminary has celebrated the feast of St. Charles Lwanga, the Patron Saint of the Seminary in line with the graduation of the fourth year of theology fraters.
It is the 34th graduation in which thirty seminarians graduated in Theology. The event was initiated by the Holy Mass celebrated in the Seminary Chapel at 9:00 AM.
During the Mass Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Ruwai’chi of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam urged the outgoing fraters to be true Christians, to be ready to shed blood because of faith in Christ as St. Charles Lwanga, and His Companion did.
He invited them to witness Christ for by doing so they will not be denied by Jesus Christ at the end of times, as it is witnessed in the Holy Scriptures “whoever denies Christ, Christ too will deny him before His Father.” True followers of Christ always carry their cross and follow Christ.
The Cross implies all challenges that might be encountered on the way. True followers are ready to suffer with the Lord by standing firm in whatsoever tribulations they face.
After the Holy Mass, followed some entertainments at the seminary social hall. The graduates were also awarded some certificates and thereafter the event was concluded by a community meal and final blessings by the Archbishop Jude Thadeus Ruwai’chi at around 3:10 PM.
